Escalation Management System (EMS)
The service has developed EMS, a unique tool which enables reporting across the whole urgent care system.
Updated twice daily by each service provider, EMS delivers a detailed and accurate description of the level of pressure in all organisations delivering urgent care services, to create a whole system picture. Armed with the relevant data, senior managers and directors are able to make informed decisions that can result in a more efficient use of resources and, ultimately, better care for patients.
A trigger-based system, EMS enables you to identify and address pressure points in urgent care. With the potential for easy implementation nationwide, it’s fully scalable and can be adapted to your needs. With an in-built email and text alert system, which circulates after each update, you’re always kept in the loop.
We will provide local training for users to ensure you and your teams can maximise the information and knowledge reported in the system.
Urgent Care Intelligence Centre
Part of the RCMT, you will also benefit from access to the Urgent Care Intelligence Centre. Managed by a select group of experienced NHS personnel, with an in-depth understanding of the complexities of urgent care flow, the centre provides analytical and operational support 7am-10pm daily.
Designed specifically to meet operational service demand, the centre offers an invaluable resource to on-call directors of both provider and commissioner organisations. It’s a central contact point for all urgent care reporting, alerting and co-ordination across health economies.
